An evaluation panel selected by ICANN reviews the submitted documentation. ICANN may consult with the relevant government or public authority for further verification. If applicable, applicants may also seek informal guidance from the relevant Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) member to identify the proper authority for documentation.
