This evaluation also helps ensure that the registry operator is prepared to minimize the operational or management challenges that variant strings and their variant domain names may create for registrars, resellers, or registrants. An applicant's commitments made to minimize operational complexity of managing variant strings will become binding terms in the Registry Agreement, if and when, the application proceeds to contracting.
