ICANN will review a challenge to determine whether ICANN made a factual or procedural error when it found that:
- The applicant's applied-for string is a singular or plural form of another applied-for string.
- The dictionary submitted to document the singular/plural claim meets the criteria established in the Guidebook.
The challenge is assessed under a "clearly erroneous" standard. The original determination will stand unless ICANN:
- Failed to follow the appropriate procedures, or
- Failed to consider or solicit necessary material evidence or information.
ICANN will communicate the results of the challenge within 30 days of filing.
