Additional Applicant Support Program Resources

The Applicant Support Program (ASP) is intended to make the New Generic Top-Level Domains (New gTLD) Program: Next Round accessible to applicants who want to apply for a new gTLD or operate a registry, but would be otherwise unable due to financial and resource constraints. This program is a result of ICANN community-developed policy. This page offers additional resources that may be useful in learning more about the program. For information on how to apply, please visit the ASP Handbook and the Apply to the ASP pages.

  • 2012 New gTLD Program Applicant Guidebook (AGB) Eligibility (Section 1.2.1) – Note that applicants to the ASP must also be eligible to apply to the New gTLD Program. This resource refers to the 2012 version of the Guidebook's Eligibility Section as an historical source of information. The link will be updated to the Next Round Applicant Guidebook Eligibility Section once it becomes available. The proposed eligibility criteria are included in the ASP Handbook but are dependent on the final language under development for the New gTLD Program: Next Round Applicant Guidebook.
