How is Name Collision Initial Assessment conducted?

Ce contenu est uniquement disponible en : English

The Name Collision Initial Assessment uses several data sources, such as root server logs and recursive resolver data (including query diversity and volume), Identifier Technologies Health Indicators (ITHI), and qualitative evidence (if available). This assessment follows the Name Collision Risk Management framework, which was developed based on recommendations from the Name Collision Analysis Project Study Two (NCAP2) Report and approved by the ICANN Board in September 2024. This framework guides all assessments, data collection, and mitigation processes for high-risk strings for name collision.
