Which types of strings require Safeguard PICs?

There are four risk-based categories of strings that will require Safeguard PICs:

  1. Regulated Sectors / Open Entry Requirements in Multiple Jurisdictions – Strings that imply consumer trust but carry risks of harm and may require limited registration.
  2. Highly Regulated Sectors / Closed Entry Requirements in Multiple Jurisdictions – Strings tied to industries where licensing or accreditation is required by governments.
  3. Potential for Cyberbullying / Harassment – Strings that could be used in ways that facilitate harassment or cyberbullying.
  4. Inherently Governmental Functions – Strings associated with government functions.
