2026 Round General Information

The application submission period for the 2026 round of the New gTLD Program is expected to open in April 2026.

Claim your own piece of the Internet with a gTLD – the part of a web address that comes after the last dot (for example, ".org" or ".community"). gTLDs give businesses, communities, and other organizations the chance to create a customized online space to fit their customers, citizens, culture, or region.

There are a number of ways to get involved in the New gTLD Program:

  • Apply for a gTLD on behalf of your organization
  • Provide input on an application
  • Help raise awareness about the program in your region
