What is Temporary Delegation?

هذا المحتوى متوفر فقط باللغة (أو اللغات): English

Temporary Delegation is a controlled, time-limited phase in which the applied-for string is temporarily added to the DNS root and delegated to ICANN-managed nameservers. During this phase, ICANN collects and assesses real-world DNS query data to better understand how the string behaves in the global DNS before it can be approved for permanent delegation.
