In TAMS, the questions an applicant must answer depend on the type of application being submitted and the applicant's specific financial profile. TAMS uses a guided or "wizard-style" process that automatically directs the applicant to the relevant question sets based on its responses to the mandatory questions. There are three types of questions:
- Mandatory question sets that apply to all applicants
- Conditional question sets that apply only to specific financial profiles and application types
- Optional question sets for which applicants may choose to provide responses depending on their individual intentions, needs, and goals
