What is the TLD Application Management System (TAMS)?

TAMS is the online system used to apply for a new generic top-level domain (gTLD) in ICANN's New gTLD Program. You can get access to TAMS by signing up yourself, or by accepting an invite from another user. Either way, you need an ICANN Account to log in.

If you have ever signed up for an ICANN Public Meeting or another ICANN service, you already have an ICANN Account.

How TAMS Fits into the Applicant Journey

TAMS is the system you use to submit and manage your gTLD application. You'll use it most during the Application Submission stage of the applicant journey to set up your organization and complete your application.

After you submit, you'll continue to use TAMS to send inquiries to ICANN, respond to questions, monitor your task queue, and submit change requests if your information changes.

For a full overview of the applicant journey stages, see The New gTLD Applicant Journey.
