What is a Certificate of Good Standing (CGS)?

A Good Standing Certificate (or equivalent) states that the Applicant is, among other things, compliant with annual filing requirements, active and has been operating in uninterrupted existence since its establishment, not subject to any administrative orders or action against it, not in liquidation, is current on any required fees and dues, etc. A Good Standing Certificate must be no more than 6 months old at the time of application submission.
