If the applying entity is a current registry operator or affiliate entity to an existing registry operator, they would apply using the Registry Operator Profile type, which does not require the submission of the financial evaluation templates required of Standard Profile applicants. The templates are also not required of Governments or Top-25 Financial Profiles. If the applicant is applying under the Standard Profile, they will be asked to submit the templates as part of the evaluation. In addition to registration forecasts, the financial templates provide ICANN with information on funding sources, cash-on-hand, expenditures, operating costs, and risks. All applicant profile types are asked to provide a signed self-certification document, which includes commitment to long-term operation and funding for all current and applied-for gTLD strings as part of questions 192, 199, 206, and 212.
