What are the possible outcomes of the Singular/Plural Notification Evaluation?

This content is available only in English Language

The Singular/Plural Notification Evaluation has three possible outcomes which may or may not affect an application:

  1. No Impact on the Application: The evaluation confirms that the strings are not singular/plural versions of the same word.
  2. Strings Placed in Contention Set: If the evaluation confirms the strings as singular and plural forms of the same word in the same language, they will be placed in contention set.
  3. Application Cannot Proceed: If the applied-for string is the singular or plural form of an existing gTLD, a string currently being processed from a previous application round, or a Blocked Name, the application will not proceed further.
